Images and Copyright

Creating super cool Custom Condoms® is a really fun way to start a conversation, create a gift, or promote your program or event. Navigating copyrights and trademarks can be a little confusing, so we’re here to help you out! Once you submit your design, you are verifying you have the rights to use the image. Our team then quickly reviews to ensure it does not violate any obvious protected imagery.

Here’s some imagery to avoid, unless you have permission to use it:

  • Celebrities
  • Bands/Musicians
  • Movie or TV logos
  • Sports Team logos
  • Brand Logos
  • Anything Disney
  • Photos of minors
  • Logos of other condom brands

If you have written permission to use the image, please submit it to us at info@customcondoms.com. Of course, if it’s YOUR band or YOUR sports team, that’s totally cool to do. 

To use copyrighted designs, we first need permission from the owner or trademark holder. For example, if it’s a major sports team the permission could come from the licensing department. When it comes to bands, their manager can often give approval. For universities, usually a faculty member can give permission. If you have any questions, we’re just an email or phone call away.

Additional Design FAQ:

What file type should my artwork be?

The online editing tools on our website currently accept .jpg, .png and .gif. If you have another file format, you can email it to us directly at info@customcondoms.com. 

 How do I upload my artwork?

You could start here to select your product. Then click the Design Now button. Upload your images using the design tool, and add extra text as you’d like. Check out our art guidelines, and stay away from copyrighted material (like Disney, sports team logos, and generally just designs you did not create or have rights to use). 

 Can you PMS color match?

We have a super high-tech machine that reproduces your artwork based on the artwork you submit. PMS color matching is not currently an option. 

 Is there a limit on how many colors I can use?

Nope! Use as many colors as you’d like. 

 Can I see a proof of my design?

In the shopping cart, you will see a mock-up image of what your final design will look like. 

 Can I print on both sides?

Not at this time. On the condom wrappers, the regulatory information is on one side so we cannot print over that.
